The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is pleased to announce its call for applications for its regular academic programs, 1) Doctoral, 2) Integrated MSc & PhD, 3) Masters, 4) Post-Graduate Diploma programs and several Short-Term courses for the 2019 academic session, at the Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPH), Delhi, Gandhinagar (Gujarat), Hyderabad (Telangana) & Bhubaneswar (Odisha).

Admissions open for Full Time On-Campus Academic Programs offered at PHFI-IIPH:

 

  • PhD (Full time) in Health Sciences/Public Health: Being offered at IIPH Delhi

The PhD is a full-time program being offered by Indian Institute of Public Health - Delhi in Health Sciences/Public Health. This program is affiliated to Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), Trivandrum. PhD is offered in the following disciplines: Epidemiology, Health Economics, Health Systems (with focus on reproductive & child health and Nutrition).

  • PhD in Public Health: Being offered at IIPH Gandhinagar

The PhD is a full-time program being offered by Indian Institute of Public Health – Gandhinagar in Public Health. This program is offered by Indian Institute of Public Health - Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India (A University under State Govt. Act).

  • Integrated MSc & PhD in Clinical Research:  Being offered at IIPH Delhi

Integrated MSc and PhD program in Clinical Research is a full-time program focusing on the scientific, ethical and operational issues related to clinical research. The MSc (2 years) & PhD (minimum of 3 years) (in clinical research) program will be jointly conducted by Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) and Academy of Scientific and innovative Research (AcSIR) from the academic year (2013) at the Indian Institute of Public Health – Delhi

  • Integrated MSc & PhD in Health Informatics: Being offered at IIPH Hyderabad

Integrated MSc (2 years) and PhD (minimum of 3 years) in Health Informatics is a full-time program being offered jointly by Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) and Academy of Scientific and innovative Research (AcSIR) from the academic year (2013) at the Indian Institute of Public Health – Hyderabad. This multi-disciplinary program focuses on applications of informatics and technologies in public health. It aims to bring the best in health care and technology based on research and innovations on one platform for students across India and South Asia.

A two-year Master's program (MSc in Clinical Research or Health Informatics), with the option of pursuing a PhD, if eligible, as an Integrated MSc-PhD in Clinical Research or Health Informatics. Offered in collaboration with Academy of Scientific & Innovative Research (AcSIR), an Institute of National Importance established by Act of Parliament

  • Master of Public Health:  Being offered at IIPH Delhi, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad

Duration: 2 years

MPH is a full time, two years program which aims to prepare students in program organization and management, problem solving, and critical thinking in the public health domain. Prepare students to undertake public health research in institutional and field settings. Prepare students to work in socially, culturally and economically diverse populations by being attentive to needs of vulnerable and disadvantaged groups and well versed with existing health systems. Promote qualities of leadership and effective use of communication skills for health advocacy among students. Prepare students for teaching /training posts in public health institutions.

At IIPH-Gandhinagar: Offered by Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar - Gujarat, India (A University under State Government Act);

At IIPH-Hyderabad: Affiliated to Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Telangana

  • Master of Hospital Administration (MHA): Being offered at IIPH Gandhinagar

Duration: 2 years

MHA program offered by the IIPH-Gandhinagar is a two-year, full-time program. The program is designed to develop professionally trained administrators who can play an effective managerial role and provide leadership in public/private hospitals and healthcare institutions. For achieving its intended objective, the program curriculum is structured on some multidisciplinary perspectives including general management and hospital management theories and practices.

Offered by Indian Institute of Public Health – Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India (A University under State Govt. Act)

  • Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health Management (PGDPHM): Being offered at IIPH Delhi, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar

Duration: 12 months (9 months classroom teaching + 3 months project work/internship.)

Objectives: To enhance the capacity of the public health managerial workforce.

Supported under National Health Mission (NHM), MoHFW, Govt. of India

  • Associate Fellow of Industrial Health: Being offered at IIPH Gandhinagar

Duration: 3 months

Objectives: AFIH is a three-month full-time course regulated by Directorate General, Factory Advice Services & Labour Institutes (DGFASLI), Govt. of India. As per Factories Act, this is a mandatory qualification for doctors working in hazardous industry. Other industries also prefer to hire AFIH qualified doctors.
