India House is a leadership and policy hub established by alumni and faculty from India’s leading institutions, including the IITs. It brings together practical leadership and strategic thinking to strengthen institutions and shape future-ready leaders.

India House focuses on designing innovative leadership programs that equip young people to lead systemic change across sectors. It also works on institutional reform through long-term, systems-oriented interventions in collaboration with partner organizations.

In addition to these, India House aims to support emerging policy and social entrepreneurs through curated social impact funding opportunities.

About the Policy Pioneers Program

Policy Pioneers is India House’s flagship program for early and mid-career professionals and change-makers ready to lead change. Offered in partnership with 4-month hybrid program blends live online sessions, in-person engagement, and hands-on projects (HoPs) to bridge policy theory with real-world impact.

The program is offered in four specializations: Education, Health, Sustainability, and Public Systems & Governance.

Duration: 4 months (Mid-September 2025 to Mid-January 2026)

Format: Blended learning with live online sessions (weekends), two in-person workshops, and a live real-world policy project.
Expected Commitment: 12-15 hours per week.

Program Highlights

• Practitioner-led modules combining public systems thinking, leadership development, and policy tools
• Mentored hands-on policy projects in collaboration with senior bureaucrats to apply learning in real-world contexts
• A cohort of committed peers selected through a rigorous process
• Faculty and mentors from institutions such as ADB, IIMs, IITs, Yale, the World Bank, and leading IITs and IIMs

Eligibility

The Policy Pioneers Program is designed for early and mid-career professionals, as well as aspiring public policy practitioners, who are ready to take the leap and contribute to meaningful change through policy.

Whether you hold a graduate or post-graduate degree in engineering, humanities, business, or the sciences, this program offers a robust entry point into the world of governance reform, public leadership, and systems-level change.

You don’t need a technical background, you only need a strong commitment to making a real difference.

Fees and Scholarships

The total fee is INR 59,000, which can be paid in two installments across the program duration.

But we want to ensure that the program fee is not a barrier for India’s future policy pioneers. So we encourage applicants who may need financial support to apply for our merit-cum-means based scholarships.
