About the Organization

Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement (SVYM) is a development Organization, engaged in building a new civil society in India through its grassroots to policy level action in Health, Education and Community Development sectors. SVYM has its headquarters in Mysuru District of Karnataka State in Southern India.

V-LEAD  is an initiative of Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement established in 2002. V-LEAD has the vision of “Developing human and social capital to build a resurgent India" by constantly enhancing the potential of individuals and institutions for the development sector. V-LEAD has been offering training to Youth, NGOs, Government and Corporate sector, customizing various programs to suit specific needs on issues of management, community development and leadership. With a team comprising people drawn from various walks of life and having the commitment to serve the society, V-LEAD is able to run its programs effectively and efficiently.

Overview

This specialised course exclusively for the development sector aims to prepare students for top Leadership and Management roles in development projects & development organizations, addressing the need for trained management professionals for the Development Sector.

Eligibility :

A degree in any discipline from University of Mysore or equivalent course of any other recognized university.

Minimum of 45% aggregate marks in the degree course.

Batch Strength:

A total number of 60 students shall be admitted to the course, every academic year, as per the University guidelines.

Duration/ Structure:

The MBA (Development Management) Course is spread over 2 years / 4 semesters comprising  fifteen core subjects, five electives, two apprenticeships and one project work.
