The Institute for Development and Communication (IDC) is an approved Research Centre of Panjab University, Chandigarh for Ph. D Program in Social Sciences. IDC is regularly admitting students for Ph.D program in the fields of Economics, Sociology, Political Science and Education. The process of admission is generally advertised on IDC website www.idcindia.org as well as through other possible means.

In this regard, IDC is pleased to invite fresh applications for Ph.D admissions for session 2018-2019 in the fields of Economics, Sociology, Political Science and Education from candidates who have qualified UGC NET/ICSSR/ICHR/ICPR Examination/SLET/GATE/Teacher Fellowship holders/direct awardees of Fellowship by any national agency or have qualified Panjab University test. Applicant should have also passed Master’s examination in the relevant subjects with minimum 55 per cent (50% for SC/ST/BC category) from any UGC recognised university/ or/ listed as approved by the appropriate Academic Bodies of Panjab University.

Candidates, who have cleared JRF will be given preference. It is also suggested to submit a brief overview on the tentative area of your interest in 500 words.

The candidates seeking admission at IDC have to submit the application form as per the attached format along with scanned copies of final year graduation & mark sheet, final year post-graduation & mark sheet and Matric Certificate for date of birth proof. Last date for applying and submitting the complete documents is 7th of February 2019. The application should be sent to email address: directorphdprogram@idcindia.org. The candidate has to clear all other selection processes and fulfill the formalities and eligibility conditions laid down for taking admission in the Ph. D program.
