Post Graduate Diploma In Rural Management

PGDRM is a two-year fully residential programme leading to a Postgraduate Diploma in Rural Management (PGDRM). PGDRM is recognized as equivalent to a Master’s degree in Rural Management by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The curriculum of our two-year fully-residential program in rural management includes courses on marketing, finance, development, operations, organization design and systems in the rural context. It is designed with an emphasis on experiential learning through three internship segments, which provides six months of on-field learning. Areas of focus includes cooperatives, dairying, agribusiness, rural finance, microfinance, rural marketing, development consulting and public policy, development project execution, social change interventions, big data, operations and analytics.

ADMISSION PROCESS 2018 – 20

The total number of seats available for PGDRM 2018-20 is 240. Up to fifteen percent of the intake is allocate for admission to NRI / NRI sponsored applicants / Foreign Nationals / Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI). IRMA follows the statutory reservation policy of Government of India.

Eligibility

  • A Graduate from any discipline, with a minimum of 15 years of education.
  • 50 percent or above (45 percent or above for SC/ST/DAP**) aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA at the graduation level.
  • Students in final year of their graduation can apply if they expect to complete all the requirements of graduation before June 04, 2018.
  • IRMA encourages students from diverse educational streams to apply. There is no management quota for admission to PGDRM at IRMA
