About the Conference:
Enablement is the key to success and has been recognized way back in various theories of management in different ways. But off lately the concept was ignored and lot of different schools of thought which talked about efficiency gained ground in early 20th century. Later on with the markets becoming more tougher and corporates feeling the heat from competition starting looking forward for innovations in various areas of management.
While going through this process of change certain organizations observed that the more they enable there people more innovations they are going to get. Thus, gradually the process of enablement started gaining grounds.
Organizations frequently face a difficult contradiction. They feel an immense pressure to cut costs and pursue efficiencies. At the same time, the increasing pace of change demands a focused emphasis on innovation and enablement. Resolving these contradictions requires ambidexterity.
Ambidexterity is an essential for operating in diverse environments that require different approaches to strategy simultaneously—or in dynamic environments that require companies to transition from style to style over time.
This is crucial for the organization in the following situations:
- When operating in both emerging and developed markets
- When bringing new products and technologies to market while exploiting existing ones
- When integrating start-ups into the existing business
- To build ambidexterity, companies must understand the diversity and dynamism of their environment—and choose the appropriate approach.
- Each approach requires a different set of organizational interventions and implies a different role for the center.
Transformation for Enablement
Companies with top-performing teams recognize that productivity is a strategic priority. And while there are notable differences between high performers and low performers, very few companies escape productivity challenges—they all look for ways to increase revenue per person and narrow the gap between top-performers and the rest of the team. This requires a lot of enablement of the team and leaders in turn.
Through this conference we invite the thought provoking research papers, case studies and original articles focusing upon the theme.
GLRC ‘19 focuses on the possible approaches to develop this skills among organizations.
