AKRSP-I invites application from Tribal Youths (Entrepreneurs)

Venture Gati

Its core objective is to facilitate entrepreneurship development among tribal communities of Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. This initiative is to support tribal entrepreneurs to become successful business leaders.

• Dedicated separate focus on tribal community so that they start getting benefit from entrepreneurship movement in the country
• Better understanding of constraints and opportunities for tribal youths with respect to entrepreneurship
• Creating an eco-system around tribal youths so that it enables them to take up entrepreneurship
• Creating partnerships for leveraging knowledge and other resources for a long term successful programme
• Triggering the existing schemes of government and other agencies around entrepreneurship for tribal youths
• Identification and nurturing of startups/ business enterprises or ideas owned by tribal youths

Approach and intervention

• Workshops, idea competitions, promoting success stories, community engagements, promoting government schemes
• Trigger aspirations
• Investors/donors, Government policies, engaging successful entrepreneurs, incubators/ training institutions
• Create eco-system
• Training, technology, handholding, mentoring/coaching, networking, seed funding, investment platforms

Support Services

The support

Venture Gati offers to provide customised and business-specific support on the entire business component ranging from training to mentoring and networking. Selected entrepreneurs will also get financial support in the form of limited funding, financial assistance and linkages with various financial institutions.

Young educated youths passing out from premium institutions will also get financial support as a stipend for initial few months.

Livelihood Plus

• Microenterprise s at grass root level
• Largely in rural areas
• Largely family level employment
• Largely traditional livelihood done at higher scale

Small Scale Enterprises

• Potential to generate some extra employment
• Deals in product and services to cater urban and rural demand.
• Existing or new enterprise

Modern Enterprises

• Modern enterprise setup by educated tribal youths
• Can be technology led
• Potential of large scale expansion
• Employment generation
• Existing or new enterprise

Who can apply?

• Tribal youths and entrepreneurs from Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.
• Early stage entrepreneurs and enterprises at the idea or concept stage.
• Existing enterprises looking for scaling up and expansion.
• Educated tribal youths from Universities/institutes want to take up entrepreneurship.
• Collectives/SHGs with good business record looking for scaling up and expansion.
• The individual applicants should have at least 50% ownership in the enterprise.
• Age limit 18-35 years.
