About the Fellowship

Jharkhand Rural Health Mission Society invites application for fellowship for Chief Minister Health Advisors as Catalysts. Health Sector is still riddled with challenges at many levels. New ideas, ways of thinking and solutions, especially at the level of implementation are required to overcome most of the challenges. Young minds and hearts that are open to new ideas and are passionate about health issues and could bring disruptive bold ideas that work and bring healthcare services to the poorest and most vulnerable are the need of the hour. Keeping this background in mind, NHM Jharkhand is inviting young, energetic motivated youngsters with keen interest in health sector, from selected reputed institutes under fellowship as Chief Minister Health Advisors as Catalysts who will be in fellowship for two years.

Details of fellowship program, stipend, number of seats, desired qualification are mentioned herein below:

Fellowship program  - Chief Minister Health Advisors

Desired Qualification 

  • Graduate/Post Graduate from top 15 medical institutions and Post Graduate in any discipline from top 10 management institutions (as per NIRF, 2018 ranking) – please refer to Annexure 1
  • Excellent command over Hindi/English Computer proficiency with high level of familiarity with commonly used packages like MS Word, Excel and Power Point

Stipend (Rs. /month) - 100000.00 INR One Lakh Per month

Duration -  2 years

Age as of 1st August, 2018 - 35 Years.

General information and Instructions:

  • The fellowship will be maximum for the period of two years and the tenure of the fellowship shall, not in any case, be extended beyond 2 years.
  • The Health Advisor can be terminated from the fellowship at any time without notice.
  • The Health Advisor shall be located anywhere at the State/District level government offices.
  • The Health Advisor will closely work with the higher officials of State/Districts (Secretaries/ Mission Directors/District Magistrate/ Program Directors, etc.). In Districts, Health Advisor would report to the district Magistrates, but would work in close co-ordination with the CMHO and the DPMU unit.
  • Health Advisor would liaise with the National Health Mission’s (NHM) District Programme Management Unit (DPMU) and Block Programme Management Unit (BPMU) and support the preparation of District Health Action Plans (DHAP)
  • Health Advisor will help the district administration and officials in implementation of DHAP
  • Health Advisor would support Prabhari officers (who are additional Secretary /joint Secretary level senior officials in GoI) in implementation of the identified priorities and facilitate review and reporting.
  • Health Advisor will liaise with National and State level team and seek technical inputs as required.
  • Each district has unique issues/challenges in health sector. Depending on the context the fellow would choose at least three areas where She he will carry out in-depth work, implement and show results (list of areas attached –Annexure II).
  • A performance appraisal will be conducted by the supervisor /reporting officer at the end of the first year of the tenure and the Health Advisor will only be able to continue the fellowship program for the second year subject satisfactory performance.
  • This is a fellowship program so any claim for absorption in the contractual/regular position in the Jharkhand Rural Health Mission Society shall not be entertained in future.
  • The selection criteria of all the above seats will be done on the basis of written test/ Interview as required.
  • All the interested candidates having the desired eligibility may apply for the fellowship with their detailed resume in the prescribed format, enclosed with photocopy of educational qualification certificate and marks sheets and two passport size photographs for the selection.
  • Society reserves the right to cancel any or all positions at any stage of fellowship selection process. Number of fellowship seats may vary as per NHM requirement.
  • If at any stage of selection, it is found that candidate does not fulfill the eligibility criteria and/or that he/she has furnished incorrect/false information/certificate/documents or has suppressed any material fact(s), his/her candidature for fellowship will stand cancelled.
  • The decision of the Society in any matter relating to the selection of fellowship at any stage of the selection process will be final and binding upon the candidates.
  • No correspondence or personal queries in this regard will be entertained.
  • Submission of forms will be through speed / registered post only. Last date of submission of application by interested candidates will be 31.01.2019. The application along with required documents mentioned above may be forwarded at the following address on or before 31.01.2019. till 5.00 pm application received after closing date & time will be rejected.
