International Research Scholarship on Primary Snoring 2018

Organization: SomniShop

Apply By: 31 Jul 2018

Snoring is not only an annoying issue, but it can also have negative consequences for the snorer’s health. Daytime sleepiness, lack of concentration, bad breath and many other complaints can be attributed to snoring.

Numerous scientific studies and information are already available for the field of pathological snoring. With regard to habitual snoring, i.e., the simple, non-pathological snoring, the current state of relevant studies looks significantly worse.

We are therefore very interested in promoting research in this highly interesting field. Only on the basis of sound scientific knowledge the suffering of those affected can be alleviated and their quality of life improved.

SomniShop, therefore, awards the International Research Scholarship for Primary Snoring to young scientists from all over the world. Snoring is understood as an interdisciplinary subject area – the scholarship is open to academics from all disciplines (i.e. not confined to academics from the medical field).

The International Research Scholarship for Primary Snoring is awarded every year. The deadline for applications is 31 July of the respective year. The scholarship award for 2018 is USD 1,000 (approx. EUR 850). The winner will be selected by a jury of experts. All participants will be notified by the jury.

We will treat your application strictly confidential and will not share any of your personal data we receive with third parties (except for our external jury members). We will use your contact details only for notifying you about the outcome of your application. With acceptance of the scholarship, the winner agrees to the publication of his/her name and a short summary of his/her scientific work. There is no application fee and all applicants will be notified of the jury decision.
