About The Fellowship

Swasth Bharat Preraks or the NNM Fellowship is an opportunity for India’s smartest and bright minds to contribute to Nation building. The Preraks are highly qualified young professionals, who will provide inputs on strategy, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of Poshan Abhiyan in the District and at the State Level.

Throughout this one year, the Fellows will be exposed to the grassroots reality, they will monitor the work, analyze, strategize or re-strategize their activities and action plans in order to realize the mission and vision of the Poshan Abhiyan-Sahi Poshan, Desh Roshan, which will lead us in the direction of a healthy India.

Project Overview

• The Prerak will work in teams at the District and State Level, playing an active role in all aspects of Government engagement to improve the nutrition status of the district and thus contributing to the bigger vision of a healthy India.
• This includes gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses and strategies, along with developing, implementing, and communicating the same within the project. The Prerak will manage the implementation of the Poshan Abhiyan, and provide coordination with State and Central Government. You will also have the opportunity to present results to senior bureaucrats and implement recommendations in collaboration with District and Block Level officials.

Who you’ll work with

• The Prerak will join the office of the District Magistrate/Collector to work in teams to effectively implement and drive the Poshan Abhiyan in the District.
• You will be actively involved in providing managerial and analytical support to the district administration, which will also give you an opportunity to work with a diverse pool of experts, from consultants and researchers to software and behavior change campaign designers which will further enhance your knowledge and skill set.
