Applications are invited in prescribed format for admission to the “Six Month Fellowship in Child& Adolescent Mental Health”

The fellowship is open to Psychologists, Psychiatric Social Works, Psychiatrists, Nursing Professionals, and M.Phil, Ph.D. or MD degree. The candidate should be sponsored by the respective Government or authorized Child Care agency of the following SAARC Countries (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, The Maldives, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka)

Eligibility:

MD Psychiatry, Masters/MPhil/ PhD in Psychology, Psychiatric Social Work/ Nursing deputed/ sponsored by the respective Government or authorized child care agencies in the respective SAARC countries (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, The Maldives, Pakistan and Sri Lanka)

Eligible bonafide candidates may apply in prescribed format along with Curriculam Vitae, Copies of the qualification document/certificates and sponsorship letter from the respective institutions. Applications should be received 2 months before the commencement of the course (as mentioned above). Selected candidates will be intimated subject to verification of the required documents.

Course Content:

The course content will consist of a balance between theoretical inputs and assignments, observation, and hands-on training. Differential inputs from respective departments will be planned, based on professional background and needs of the trainee. Specific competencies will be developed for each of the disciplines. For a given discipline, there will be some core competencies while other skills and competencies would be supplementary. Independent of the above points, we could divide the content into generic components and specialty components. Once everyone is trained in generic skills, specific skills could be honed by supervised clinical work under the specialty consultants.
