About the Organization:

ACCESS Development Services was established as a spin-off of a large successful programme focused on advancing microfinance and small enterprises in the country, that was supported by DFID (Govt. of UK). ACCESS was set up on March 1, 2006 as a Section 8 ‘not for profit’ company. Once set up, ACCESS diversified its mission to design composite livelihood programmes to holistically improve and strengthen the economic status of the poor, and taking them to sustainable levels for impacting their quality of life.

About the Summit:

Each year ACCESS organizes the Livelihoods India Summit – a national conference bringing together over 80 thought leaders, and over 500 delegates from the livelihoods sector including policy makers, NGOs, multilateral/bilateral organizations, researchers and other support organizations from within the country under a single roof. The 16th edition of the Summit will be organised between December 3 & 4, 2025 at Le Meridien in New Delhi.

The Livelihoods India Summit 2025 seeks to explore the latest shifts within the evolving landscape of the livelihoods in India and the intersection of technology, inclusivity, sustainability, and climate change and its impact. Broad themes for discussion include women’s economic empowerment, sustainable agriculture development, climate-resilient livelihoods, non-farm employment including entrepreneurship advancement, enhancing livelihoods in the sub-sectors such as gig-platform economy, and generating avenues for future ready skilling amongst others.
