5 NGOs That Need Volunteers To Protect Furry Friends. Register Now!

For animal lovers around the world, there are few things more fulfilling than dedicating their time and energy to help protect and care for furry friends in need.

In India, a country known for its diverse wildlife and bustling streets filled with stray animals, there are many NGOs that work tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of these creatures.

From rescuing injured animals to providing medical care and shelter, these organizations rely heavily on the support of volunteers to help them achieve their mission.

Here are five such NGOs in India that need volunteers to help protect and care for our furry friends. You can dedicate your time and skills to help make a difference in the lives of India's furry friends.

This is the largest animal welfare organization in India with over 26 hospitals and shelters across the country. They work on issues related to animal cruelty, rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption.

They have set up shelters, ambulance services, sterilization programs, treatment camps and disaster rescue missions for animals. They conduct education programs in schools, fight cases in court, and lobby on animal issues in parliament. PFA aims to set up an animal welfare center in each of the nation's 600 districts.

They welcome volunteers who can help with animal care, rescue operations, and awareness campaigns, design, photography and generating publicity material and more. To stay updated about their requirements or to know more, visit their website.

Wildlife SOS

Wildlife SOS protects India’s wildlife through high-quality care for animals who cannot return to the wild. They focus on rescuing and rehabilitating wild animals in distress, and also work to protect their habitats. They provide medical treatment for animals that can be released, rescue services for animals in brutal settings, and advocacy to prevent animals from being exploited for entertainment.

They run several wildlife rescue centers across India and need volunteers who can help with animal care, maintenance, and awareness activities.

By volunteering at the Wildlife SOS Rescue Facilities, you will make a major contribution to the welfare of bears and elephants in India. The majority of the programme fees will go directly to the center, thus providing a critical source of funding for future work. No previous experience is required, except that you will need to be willing and enthusiastic. Visit their website to know more.
