Coronavirus update: Hyundai Motor India Foundation contributes Rs 5 crore to fight Covid-19 pandemic

Hyundai Motor India's CSR arm Hyundai Motor India Foundation has contributed Rs 5 crore to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Relief Fund to aid in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

Apart from the monetary contribution, Hyundai Motor India will assist in the relief efforts by providing advanced Covid-19 diagnostic kits imported from South Korea to the health authorities. The automobile manufacturer will also furnish personal protective equipment, masks and other safety kits. Besides, it will distribute dry rations to the people in need.

Moreover, Hyundai Motor India is working with a local ventilator manufacturer to increase the production of the critical life-saving device. More than 9,100 people in India have tested positive for Covid-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, as of now. The death toll due to Covid-19 has crossed 300 in the country.

Hyundai Motor India has also announced an extended support of two months for the customers who have been unable to avail their vehicle's warranty, extended warranty or free service due to the coronavirus outbreak or a dealership shutting down in any affected city. The automobile manufacturer is providing 24X7 road side assistance to the customers, who are in essential services, in an emergency situation.
