DCM Shriram Ltd recertified with the Responsible Care logo

DCM Shriram Ltd a leading business conglomerate with business portfolio comprising of Agri-Rural and Chlor-Vinyl Business has been recertified as a Responsible Care (RC) company for its Manufacturing Facility in Bharuch, Gujarat and got the permission to use the RC logo after successfully completing a comprehensive assessment procedure carried out by experts. Responsible Care is the global chemical industry's voluntary environmental, health and safety (EHS) initiative to drive continuous improvement in performance.

Commenting on the re-certification, Mr Ajay S Shriram, Chairman & Sr. Managing Director, DCM Shriram Ltd said, “It is a matter of great pride and encouragement for us that our Bharuch site has been re-certified under the coveted Responsible Care (RC) initiative. This is yet another milestone in our Sustainability journey and I would like to congratulate our team for this achievement.”

“We are committed towards EHS and conduct our operations and activities with utmost care and in the most responsible and sustainable manner. Our Bharuch and Kota sites are also certified for Five Star British Safety Council Safety system”, said Mr Vikram S Shriram, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, DCM Shriram Ltd.

DCM Shriram’s upcoming Epichlorohydrin (ECH) plant is designed to use Glycerine as the main raw material which is fully renewable. The company is also setting up a renewable energy plant to meet its growing energy requirements. The company’s social responsibility activities are also focused on Environmental Sustainability along with holistic development of communities.
