IICA-NGOBOX Good Practice Recognition 2015-Good Practices Recognized in India CSR Summit 2015

Bangalore (08 October 2015).  The IICA-NGOBOX Good Practice Recognition 2015 Awards is an initiative of Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs in collaboration with NGOBOX  which offered a platform for Indian corporate houses and NGOs to showcase how development concerns have been met with social commitment. It was an endeavour to felicitate, amplify and publicize the efforts taken by the corporate sector and NGOs for striving towards inclusive and sustainable development with a “society-centred” purpose. The idea is to create a forum wherein we are inviting the Companies and NGOs’ to project their excellent work that makes a case for learning. These will be the models /projects which have already established themselves successfully and hence, can be replicated at other platforms/geographies. The Corporates and NGOs who have risen above mere business profitability objectives, have followed an integrated approach, displayed exemplary determination of sharing the benefits of growth with the society in general and have enabled change in specific social sectors that have faced neglect in particular, will be given an opportunity to showcase their projects for others to draw relevant lessons and inspirations.

The objective of the event is to recognize and publicize the efforts undertaken by various companies and NGOs towards Corporate Social Responsibility and thereby motivating other companies/NGOS to invest in similar initiatives. It will also help in sharing of good practices amongst all the companies and NGOs that should help increase impact of such initiatives by way of Industry-wide emulation/implementation.

Despite being the first year, we received an overwhelming response from the corporate, corporate foundations and implementing agencies with 27 applications.
