Reliance Foundation provides free fuel for ambulances, helps serve the cause of ‘Corona Haarega India Jeetega’

Ambulances are the lifeline of a country’s healthcare infrastructure, and their role has gained more prominence in current times of a massive health crisis that the entire nation is facing. Given the spike in the number of coronavirus cases across the country, quick access and round the clock availability of medical services has become an extremely critical factor in the battle against COVID-19.

Special ambulances have been deployed to cater to the patients or those with symptoms of coronavirus in different parts of the country. Reliance Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Reliance Industries (RIL) has taken yet another step to support the battle against COVID-19. The organisation is now providing free fuel to ambulances, enabling them to serve patients faster and without any disruption.

To deal with the medical crisis facing all of us, ambulance drivers are working relentlessly in transporting COVID -19 patients to get speedy medical care. So far, Reliance Foundation has provided 4 lac liters of free fuel, supporting over 10,500 ambulances across 249 districts and 18 states. This noble gesture is just one among the many support initiatives that the company has undertaken.  

Apart from the above, Reliance Foundation has been serving the cause of Corona Haarega India Jeetega’ through initiatives like Mission Anna Seva, honouring frontline workers, developing the coronavirus symptoms checker, feeding stray animals, helping truck drivers with dry food and masks, helping migrant workers with food, to name a few.
