SBI adopts 15 tigers of Nehru Zoological Park

As part of the Nehru Zoological Park's adoption programme, 15 tigers have been adopted by the management of State Bank of India, Hyderabad Zonal Office on Tuesday. The animals were adopted as part Animal Adoption Programme of Nehru Zoological Park by SBI under the component of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity paying Rs 15 lakh for a one-year period. The amount would be utilized by the zoo authorities for the upkeep of the tigers and their daily feed.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sidhanand Kukretty, IFS, Additional PCCF & director of Zoo Parks, Telangana thanked the officials of SBI, Hyderabad and appealed to all the other banks to come forward for adoption of animals in the zoo. While thanking the officials of SBI for continuing their relationship with Nehru Zoological Park, Shivani Dogra, Curator of Nehru Zoo said, “Hope for conservation of wildlife is strengthened by such interest and contribution.”
