Shree Malani Group extends support to the underprivileged through its Community Development Initiatives

Shree Malani Group, a 30-year old Corporate House from Hyderabad - one of the leading players in the comfort and bedding industry has undertaken several development programs aimed at supporting the communities it is operating in. Through its group companies – Centuary Mattresses and Shree Malani Foams, the Group has been working towards benefitting society and ensuring better facilities for them.

In a recent collaboration with Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society, Centuary Mattresses has provided branded laptops to 15 under-privileged students pursuing their post-graduation and under-graduation to accelerate the career growth of these hard-working students from various prestigious higher educational institutions with exemplary academic performance. The initiative was aimed to improve the learning skills of the students and to accelerate their preparation for competitive exams and digital access and learning. This would not only help these students learn the digital skills required today to accelerate their career, but also a symbol of growth, bringing them a step closer to their dreams.

Earlier, Centuary Mattresses also asserted its support to the frontline health workers taking care of the COVID-19 patients and delivered over 221 high-end Pocketed Spring mattresses to help them de-stress with naps amidst their hectic schedules at the government hospitals in Telangana. The medical community has been under immense and constant stress since the onset of the pandemic in India. With the pandemic severely impacting all segments of the economy, the medical professionals are hit with extended work hours and tiring long schedules. Acknowledging their sacrifice and efforts in making this country a safer place to live in, and hoping to enable a stress-free, comfortable rest for the staff, Centuary Mattresses provided these mattresses to hospitals as per the requirements shared by the State Government.

Shree Malani Foams, under the Shree Malani Group, has laid a keen focus on the Education of the underprivileged and the development of the communities. Earlier this year, it constructed a sports ground for the students of Telangana Model School, Shankarampet (R) Village. As a part of the company’s endeavour to promote a fit India through its initiatives, the company aimed at providing a better facility to accelerate the overall physical growth of thousands of students. The sports ground of around 3,500 square yards now offers a playing area to the school, a new facility for the students. This greatly benefitted the students who now have access to better amenities to enjoy on-ground activities and to indulge in physical games. This new sports ground complemented the overall development of a child’s personality and allowed students to shape their future according to their interests.

In yet another outreach program, the company has taken up the cause of community welfare and sustainability. In an initiative to extend their support and unparalleled commitment to helping underprivileged students, the company has awarded scholarships to students. Furthermore, the company committed to various outreach programs, through which it has been supporting students and catering to their needs with cycles, bags, and books among other necessities. In addition to their CSR initiatives, Shree Malani Foams had acknowledged the need to support and empower women in the villages marked by their outreach programs. The company had provided sewing machines to the women struggling to make ends meet. The company also provided relief material to COVID-19 hit families in Shankarampet (Telangana) which included medical kits and groceries to over 50 families that have no access to affordable care.
