Title: Stanford Longevity Design Challenge 2021

Organization: Stanford Center on Longevity

Deadline: 10th December, 2020

About:

Stanford Center on Longevity accelerates and implements scientific discoveries, technological advances, behavioral practices, and social norms so that century long lives are healthy and rewarding. The Challenge invites university students to design solutions for people of all ages. The Stanford Center on Longevity Design Challenge offers cash prizes and free entrepreneur mentorship in a competition open to all university students around the world who want to design products and services which optimize long life for us all.

Criteria:

  • Each team must consist of at least one full-time student from any accredited institution of higher education anywhere in the world (can be undergraduate or graduate)
  • Teams may have a total of up to 5 members and may include non-students
  • Only students are allowed to present at the Finals

Title: Virtual Masterclass Google Drive for Trainers and Educators - Foundation Level

Organization: Impact Academy by CSRBOX

Organization: The University of British Columbia (UBC)

This award recognizes outstanding international undergraduate students from impoverished or war-torn areas who have achieved academic excellence under difficult circumstances, and who would be unable to attend university without financial assistance.

Criteria:

  • You must be an international student who will be studying in Canada on a Canadian study permit.
  • You must be graduating or have recently graduated from a recognized senior secondary school.
  • You must be applying for your first undergraduate degree.
  • You must meet UBC’s admission requirements, including general and degree-specific requirements and the English Language Admission Standard.
  • You must demonstrate superior academic achievement (achieve all As or equivalent standard) and leadership potential.
  • You must come from a war-torn, politically unstable, or economically disadvantaged region of the world.

In 2020, the Prize will award scalable AI-powered solutions or technology innovations that have proven effective in improving learning outcomes of marginalized groups while ensuring ethical and equitable use of these technologies in education.

Criteria:

  • Individuals, institutions, non-governmental organizations or other entities.
  • The project should be ongoing for at least for 1 year
  • The project and its organization should not be affiliated to UNESCO or receive any funding from UNESCO
  • The technology solutions used by the project should be designed completely for public good or for charitable purposes, meaning that they should not be the free parts of commercial applications or application packages that only offer limited functions free of charge while requesting users to pay for advanced functions
