About the Grant – 

Omidyar Network India announced a call for proposals for rapid response funding to tackle the challenges posed by the Covid-19 situation and the consequent socio-economic impact. We are committing Rs. 7.5 crore ($1 million) to this initiative. They invite proposals that strengthen containment, detection and treatment, support crisis management capabilities, and enhance resilience and recovery in the wake of Covid-19.

 

Eligibility Criteria – 

NGOs, research organisations, social entrepreneurs, and for-profit businesses seeking to do this on a no-profit basis are welcome to apply.

Grant Amount – INR 1000000000

 

About the Grant – 

ACT Grant is sponsoring ideas that could act as a force multiplier in today’s situation. They are backing India’s best start-up founders and deserving volunteers to combat Covid-19 using existing start-up assets. They are backing ideas that are capital efficient, scale ready and can create immediate impact. INR 100CR grant created by India’s start-up community to give wings to ideas that could combat COVID-19 with immediate impact.

 

Eligibility Criteria – 

NGO / SMEs / startup that has a real solution to tackle problems arising due to COVID-19 and need financial support, apply now! The grant is sector agnostic and the solution can stem from any sector - services, manufacturing, healthcare, among others.

HRB Covid19 Rapid Response Funding Call

Organization – Health Research Board

Grant Amount - 200000 Euro

 

About the Grant – 

In response to the fast evolving COVID-19 pandemic, HRB in cooperation with the IRC, are launching a rapid response mechanism to fund research that will provide evidence for the national and global efforts to deal with the virus outbreak. The research priorities of this call are aligned with the WHO R&D Blueprint and informed by the Global Infectious Disease Collaboration for International Disease Preparedness (GloPID-R).

 

Eligibility Criteria – 

The Lead Applicant must demonstrate that they have the skills, knowledge and supports necessary to direct the proposed research and to be actively engaged in carrying the research through to completion.

IWMF COVID19 Relief Fund for Women Journalists

Organization – International Women’s Media Foundation

Grant Amount. – USD 2000

 

About the Grant. – 

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the IWMF is turning our attention to how we may best serve our community of women journalists at this unprecedented moment in history. Based on early, anecdotal evidence of cancelled assignments, lost income and an inability to pay essential living expenses, we anticipate a great need for support within our global network of journalists – especially among freelancers with no safety net.

 

Eligibility Criteria –

The IWMF's Journalism Relief Fund is open to women-identifying journalists in dire straits - journalists who have faced significant financial hardship, lost work, were recently laid off or who urgently need assistance to avoid severe, irreversible outcomes. This fund will provide small grants of up to $2,000 USD per request.
