Swachch Bharat Grand Challenge

Under the aegis of the Swachchta Pakhwada fortnight being observed by DIPP  starting 1st November, Startup India is launching the Swachch Bharat Grand challenge to award innovative solutions from startups in the sectors of Sanitation, Waste Management, Water Treatment and Air Purification.

Detailed Eligibility Criteria

Are you a Startup?

Leverage the Tools & Templates, Knowledge, Learning Program and more to gear up for the exciting startup journey.

• Upto a period of seven years from the date of incorporation/registration or upto ten years in case of Startups in Biotechnology sector
• Incorporated as either a Private Limited Company or a Registered Partnership Firm or a Limited Liability Partnership
• With an annual turnover not exceeding Rs. 25 crore for any of the financial years since incorporation/registration
• Entity should not have been formed by splitting up or reconstruction a business already in existence
• Working towards innovation, development or improvement of products or processes or services, or if it is a scalable business model with a high potential of employment generation or wealth creation

Inviting Innovative Solutions in the Focused Sectors Listed below

Focus Sectors

Sanitation: Startups that focus on maintaining sanitation at public places by providing solutions to simple sanitation problems like open defecation, availability of toilets, etc. Solutions & systems for developing/improving access to sanitation in rural and urban areas

Waste Management: Startups focused on management of waste across the value chain including collection, disposal, processing and recycling into various form

 Water and Wastewater Management: Startups focused on managing water and wastewater resources including - developing systems for treatment of wastewater; generation, filtration, and purification systems to provide access to safe drinking water; and Smart Water Management solutions to manage water resources

Air Management: Startups involved in monitoring, controlling air pollution and/or purifying air.
