About the Organization

Better World Books is a for-profit, socially conscious business and a global online bookseller that collects and sells new and used books online, matching each purchase with a book donation. Each sale generates funds for literacy and education initiatives in the U.S., the UK, and around the world. Since its launch in 2003, Better World Books has raised $34 million for libraries and literacy, donated over 35 million books, and reused or recycled more than 450 million books.

About the Grant  

We are delighted to announce the opening of applications for the 2024 Better World Books Literacy Grants, offering a unique opportunity for organizations dedicated to fostering early literacy in children from birth to five years old. This year's grants are designed to support Early Reader Projects that make a significant impact on young minds and contribute to building a foundation for a lifelong love of reading.
