About the Organization

Chegg.org is the impact, advocacy, and research arm of Chegg addressing the issues facing the modern student. We partner with organizations who are creating innovative solutions to help students realize their dreams.​ The latest research on the modern student & the issues they care about.

We support first generation college students through scholarship programs designed to help students achieve their dreams of higher education. We identify nonprofits directly supporting students and the communities impacting their success, and provide them with funding to help them strategically deepen their impact. We partner with leading nonprofits and advocacy organizations to publish in-depth research about the latest issues students are facing. No student should ever choose between eating and reading. We partner with innovative nonprofits who are fighting food insecurity at college campuses across the country.

About the Prize

The Varkey Foundation (“VF”) and Chegg, Inc (“Chegg”, together the “Parties”) are launching a US$100,000, Global Student Prize (“Prize”) to highlight the efforts of extraordinary students throughout the world that are making a real impact on learning, the lives of their peers and on society beyond.

The Chegg.org Global Student Prize is open to all students who are at least 16 years old and enrolled in an academic institution or training and skills programme. Part time students as well as students enrolled in online courses are also eligible for the prize.

Students applying for the prize will be assessed on their academic achievement, impact on their peers, how they make a difference in their community and beyond, how they overcome the odds to achieve, how they demonstrate creativity and innovation, and how they operate as global citizens.

Eligibility

The Chegg.org Global Student Prize is open to all students who are at least 16 years old and enrolled in an academic institution or training and skills program. Part time students as well as students enrolled in online courses are also eligible for the prize. The prize is open to students in every kind of school and, subject to local laws, in every country in the world. 

How to Apply

• Open for applications and nominations: 1 February 2024
• Entry deadline: 28 April 2024 at 23.59 (GMT+1). The system will automatically prevent entry submission after the deadline.
• Successful entrants will be notified by mid-July 2024
• Top 10 finalists and winner announcement will take place later in the year
