Call For Applications – GAP Intensive Program 2019

Global Action on Poverty (GAP) is delighted to invite applications from committed and passionate Changemakers for the GAP Intensive Program 2019.

What happens on the GAP Intensive journey? 

• Changemakers embarking on this journey will receive strategic guidance and support to significantly increase the impact (by at least 50%) of their initiatives/programs. The program aims to:
• Enhance your leadership capability, mentor you on social and business fundamentals and build a foundation for growth
• Define your accelerated strategy & goal and support you in on-ground implementation through a dedicated team of reputed business professionals, Coaches/Experts and Mentors
• Connect you with international and national stalwarts in the development and business sector at the GAP Annual Event, planned for 1st – 3rd February 2019 at the Gandhi Ashram, Ahmedabad
• Take you on a journey of personal transformation and leadership through the Mission Impossible Leaders Program

Who is it for?

GAP Intensive program is for individuals or organizations that have a deep commitment to alleviating poverty and are impassioned about bringing positive change in India and globally.

We have a minimum eligibility criterion for the applicant Changemakers:

• You must be the head/founder of an NGO or Social Enterprise
• Your NGO/Social Enterprise should have been operational for at least 1 year (we are not an accelerator program for early-stage concepts)
• You have at least 1 year of financial statement and budget

What will you gain from the program?

The GAP Intensive journey has been designed to bring fresh perspectives for your initiative from a diverse group of people to increase your impact by at least 50% and intends to bring sustainability to your initiative. It helps you to:

• Scale up your impact
• Be funding ready
• Receive guidance of corporate leaders for better organizational structures
• Get connected with corporates and industry partners
• Enhance your leadership capability
• Get opportunities to pitch to funding panels
• Have an integrated facilitation for data and impact monitoring
• Have personal transformation and leadership through the Mission Impossible Leaders Program

How is the GAP Intensive program structured?

The GAP Intensive is a 14-month program which contains the following:

1. Foundation Workshop – a week long workshop for leadership development and organizational fundamentals – 7 days
2. Leadership Coaching focus areas identified in the Mission Impossible Leadership Program – 4 days
3. Need based mentoring and expert sessions - Weekly calls with mentor/expert for strengthening organizational fundamentals - 8 sessions across 8 weeks
4. Working with dedicated Intensive Leader and Intensive Catalyst to define growth strategy, develop the implementation plan and identify partners for growth – 3 months
5. Support from Intensive Leader in implementation of growth plan, leveraging business/network connects and improving funding readiness – 12 months
6. Regular monthly/quarterly reviews and impact assessment at the end of 1 year
7. Meeting the corporate Intensive Leader at the GAP Annual Event planned from 1st to 3rd February 2019 at the Gandhi Ashram, Ahmedabad

What commitments are expected from you?

Commitment in terms of time, availability and openness to grow the impact of the organization.

Monetary contribution of INR 35,000 including accommodation and food for the 7 days of foundation course in Bangalore. There is a 100% money back guarantee if you feel that you did not gain value in the program, no questions asked. You will need to bear the personal expenses related to your travel for the Foundation Course and the GAP Annual Event.

Open Sessions with Changemakers

We are hosting open sessions for changemakers (NGOs/Social Enterprises) to come and share with us your work and impact and you get to know how GAP can support you in your cause and increase your impact. Please see the time and date for your nearest city below:
