Introduction

The V-Mart scholarship, ‘Ujjwal Bhavishya Program’, is the CSR initiative of V-Mart, one of the largest retail chains in India. FUEL, the implementing partner of the Scholarship is inviting students through NGO’s and individual basis to apply or the program.

About V-Mart

V-Mart is one of the biggest retail chains in India with more than 150 stores spanning across 14 states in India. As a part of its corporate social responsibility, V-Mart, in association with FUEL (Friends Union for Energising Lives), the prime implementing partner for its CSR initiatives, has launched the "V-Mart Ujjwal Bhavishya" an initiative providing a scholarship to the economically disadvantaged sections of the society.

About FUEL

FUEL (Friends Union for Energising Lives) is a credible non-profit organization which provides career guidance and skilling to students throughout India, having a track record of reaching 1 million students in 13 states across India. Some of their flagship programs include EduConnect, Nurture Merit Scholarship, Ahead of Times Program and Skilling. It has developed a platform, ‘GyanDaan’, an extended branch; to reach the youth of India and enhance their development is a comprehensive manner.

Description of the Program

The "Ujjwal Bhavishya" Program aims to help the meritorious students coming from the economically disadvantaged background, forced to discontinue education due to financial constraints. The initiative intends to provide a scholarship of rupees 10,000 each to 750 students from the economically disadvantaged sections of the society, paving a path for the students to fulfil their dream of a bright future.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The student requires having qualified state-affiliated STATE/CBSE/ ICSE/AICTE standard 10 board examination, 2018
  • The student must have secured more than 85% marks in the 10th standard
  • The total income of the family should be less than two lakhs per annum
  • The student must be less than 15 years of age
  • He/she must have passed the 10th board examination in the first attempt.

Application Process

FUEL is calling for registration of meritorious students for the scholarship through NGO and individual basis for the scholarship. NGO’s associated with the development sector primarily working in the field of education, having a pool of meritorious students fulfilling the required criteria for the scholarship can register through the following:
