Introduction:

Tech Mahindra Foundation is the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of Tech Mahindra. It was set up in 2007 as a Section 25 Company (referred to as Section 8 Company in the Companies Act, 2013), with a vision of Empowerment through Education.

The Foundation works in three key areas - Education, Employability and Disability. It has been running 120+ projects with 90+ partners across India. With these, the Foundation, has established itself as one of the leading CSRs in the country, which reaches out to almost 100,000 primary and 400,000 secondary/tertiary beneficiaries.

The Foundation’s programmes span twelve locations in India namely – Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune and Visakhapatnam. It operates through a New Delhi-based Corporate Office, city-based Chapters and a number of Project Offices.

Launched in May 2016, The first Tech Mahindra SMART Academy is working for training paramedics in Healthcare Sector. The Academy is a state-of-the-art training institute. It aims at creating a cadre of well qualified, trained professionals in the field of allied healthcare by providing high quality innovative and interactive training to young men and women keen to pursue a career in Healthcare. The second SMART Academy also in Healthcare sector will be launched soon in Mohali. The third SMART Academy will be launched very soon in Visakhapatnam. The Academy deals with course in IT and Logistics.

The emphasis at all the Academies is on quality and all round training, which lays the foundation of life-long learning as a powerful way to tap into potential employment opportunities for youth in difficult circumstances. Continuous upgradation, self-improvement and strong processes are part of the Academy’s core philosophy.

The Tech Mahindra SMART Academy for Healthcare offers following courses:

Diploma Courses:

  • Operation Theatre Technician 
  • Dialysis Technician
  • X-Ray & Imaging Technology
  • Medical Record Technology

All these courses to be of 2 years each, with a 6 month OJT

Certificate Courses:

  • General Duty Assistants
  • Emergency Medical Technician
  • Hospital Front Office & Billing Executive
  • Home Health Aides
  • JAPA Maids

GDA, HHA & JAPA to be of 4 - 6 months, including OJT. HFOBE and EMT to be of 12 months

Objectives of the Assignment:

  • Design and developcurriculum, lesson plans and assessment tools for English and Softs skills curriculum.
  • Design assessment framework for English language learning of candidates enrolled in different courses.

Scope of work:

The detailed scope of the assignment for the development of English and Soft skills curriculum for Tech Mahindra SMART Academyis outlined as follows:

  • Conduct a short training need analysis
  • Development of scope and sequence document for English and soft skills
  • Competency and sub competency mapping for each module
  • Design structured lesson plans each session at the Academy is 40 Minutes.
  • Mapping curriculum with different job roles
  • Assessment tools and framework for all the courses
  • The lesson plan should be supported by Audio/Video wherever required
  • The lesson plan should be interactive in nature with group/individual exercises
  • Conducting TOT’s after final delivery of the curriculum
  • The curriculum should have Student’s workbook, Facilitator Guidebook and PPTs (for each lesson plan)
  • The total duration for soft skills curriculum will be 125 Hours
  • The total duration for English curriculum will be 300 Hours

The development of English and Soft skills curriculumis a time bound assignment and must adhere to the following timeline.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The agency/consultant should be working in the field of curriculum designingfor at least 5 years
  • The agency/consultant should have worked onskilling projects

Date and Process of Application

Interested agencies/ consultants can submit a detailed proposal by 31St October, 2017 at Sajid.ali1@Techmahindra.org. The proposal should also include organization profile and team strength. Only shortlisted agencies would be contacted.
