RFP for onboarding Construction/Civil partners for the upgradation of 2500 Nand Ghar (Lot-2) – Pan India

1. Introduction

Nand Ghar is a flagship initiative by the Anil Agarwal Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Vedanta Group, aimed at transforming India’s traditional Anganwadi centres into modern, digitally enabled hubs for early childhood education, nutrition, healthcare, and women empowerment.

Nand Ghar team invites Construction/Civil partners for the upgradation of 2500 Nand Ghar (Lot-2) – Pan India under three defined options. The objective is to enhance infrastructure for early childhood education and care, aligned with national standards and community needs.

2. Project Overview

The Nand Ghar initiative aims to provide safe, inclusive, and well-equipped spaces for children and women. This RFP outlines three construction/upgradation options:

• Option 1: Standalone Building with full facilities
• Option 2: Standalone Building or part of existing school building with full facilities
• Option 3: Part of existing school building with limited facilities

3. Scope of Work

For Option 1 & Option 2

Includes but is not limited to:

• Minor masonry repairs (walls, ceiling, flooring, parapet, plinth)
• Rainwater spouts installation/repair
• Paint removal and surface preparation
• Interior and exterior painting (ordinary + artistic)
• Electrical wiring and fixtures (lights, fans, TV point, earthing)
• Vinyl flooring in classroom
• Supply of water purifier (reimbursable via Vedanta MPA)
• Installation of solar ballast and battery cage

For Option 3

Includes:

• Minor masonry repairs
• Rainwater spouts installation/repair
• Paint removal and surface preparation
• Interior and exterior painting (ordinary + artistic)
• Electrical wiring and fixtures (limited)
• Vinyl flooring in classroom
• Supply of water purifier (reimbursable via Vedanta MPA)
• Installation of solar ballast and battery cage

4. Deliverables

• Completed construction/upgradation as per selected option
• Warranty of 2 years for all painting works
• Functional electrical setup with safety compliance
• Installed solar infrastructure and water purification system

5. Eligibility Criteria

• Registered contractor/agency with experience in civil construction
• Proven track record in similar infrastructure projects
• Capacity to complete work within stipulated timelines
• Compliance with safety and environmental standards

• Technical Proposal (including methodology, timeline, team structure)
• Financial Proposal (itemized cost estimates for each option)
• Company Profile and Relevant Experience
• Legal and statutory documents (GST, PAN, registration certificates)
