Request for Expression of Interest for short listing of NGOs/Agencies for the management of Life Skill Education, Career Guidance / Leadership Development Programme for the adolescent groups in the State of Kerala

Kerala Social Security Mission invites EOI from interested Training Service Providers (TSP) in Kerala for providing services to organise and conduct Life Skill Education, Career Guidance and Leadership Development Programme for adolescent groups, including the beneficiaries of Snehapoorvam Programme of the Mission. On the basis of the EOI submitted by the TSP’s / institutions in response to this request for EOI, KSSM will constitute a panel of TSPs for providing competency based training services to the beneficiaries of snehapoorvam. The panel of TSP s will be engaged through Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for a period of 1year from the date of signing thecontract. KSSM at its discretion can update the panel or scrap the panel or terminate the MOA earlier than the expiry of one-year period, in the event of any change of laws as applicable to State of Kerala, failed to perform contract deliverables

Interested applicants are advised to study the EOI document carefully before submission. Submission of EOI shall be deemed to have been done after careful study and examination of the EOI document with full understanding of its implications

Objectives of the Programme

Overall objective of the programme is to introduce the concepts of life skills and leadership and provide them necessary guidance in choosing appropriate careers in life. Specific objectives of the programme are:

• To orient the participants to the concepts of life skills and leadership, and provide them with the opportunities to practice it.
• To motivate the participants to do a self-analysis on the basis of inputs provided
• To provide necessary guidance for setting and achieving goals in life
• To help them in imbibing necessary leadership skills
• To equip them with necessary skills and attitudes to safeguard themselves from social evils like alcohol, drugs etc.

Qualifying and Evaluation criteria

1. The agencies/NGOs/Trusts/Societies having personnel experienced in Life Skill Education
2. Programme, Interventions in Education and Health sectors will be preferred.
3. The agency / NGO should have experience in designing, organising and conducting training programmes for adolescent and youth groups. The details of the training programmes conducted may also be produced.
4. The agency should have the capacity to develop customised training modules for various target groups of Kerala Social Security Mission and impart the same.
5. Preference will be given to the agencies who are willing to mobilise resources / additional resources needed for conducting the training programmes.
6. Registered NGOs/Trusts/Agencies/Cooperatives can apply for the empanelment.
7. The agency should have the capacity to design and carry out training programme on life skills and personality development for the target groups. The agency should also have an approved panel of experienced trainers across the State to organise and conduct the programmes / facilitate the sessions. This team for design/implementation employed by the Agency should have an individual experience of at least 7 years in designing and carrying out similar programmes in adolescence training.
8. The relevant details of the team members have to be submitted in the required format along with the EOI (full time employees and resource team / consultants, past experience, areas of expertise, etc.)
