RFP Title: Engagement of Non-Government Organisation (NGO) for Rajasthan Water Sector Livelihood Improvement Project in Jaipur Sub- PMU Region

Background:

The Government of Rajasthan takes cognizance of the fact that the irrigation system in the state is deteriorating and needs immediate attention to improve the condition of the water delivery system for optimizing water Use. It also recognizes that a holistic approach for the agriculture sector, such as the development of agricultural technique, food value chain improvement, Promotion of high-value agriculture products.

Project Objectives:

• Rehabilitation, and modernization of the exiting medium and small irrigation schemes;
• Establishment of sustainable operation and management system of irrigation facilities by implementing the participatory irrigation management on water users associations
• Increase of the productivities and improvement of quality of agriculture producers.

The scope of the Project:

• Participatory Irrigation Rehabilitation Works
• Fostering and capacity enhancement of water Users Organization
• Improvement of Agriculture Practices and Marketing capacity
• Gender Mainstreaming in agriculture and water sector
• Project management and monitoring

Objective NGO’s Services:

• Fostering and Capacity Enhancement of water Users Organisation
• Irrigated agriculture Intensification and diversification
• Agro-processing, marketing, and Promotion of High-Value Agriculture Produces
• Gender Mainstreaming in Agriculture and water sector.

 Expert Requirement:

The following experts would be assigned to an NGO team.

• Team Leader
• Sector Expert (Agriculture/Marketing)
• Sector Expert (Gender)
• Field Supervisor
• Community Motivator
