Atmashakti an NGO is seeking an experienced Assistant Director Program to oversee the implementation and strategic planning of our programmes. We are a grass root organisation that intends to be close to the ground realities of the field we engage in. Thus, this is not a desk job but a set of tasks that will require you to travel to the rural parts of India and interact with communities and accordingly design programs. Working alongside the Program Director and Executive Director you will be assissting daily operational and administrative tasks as needed. You will also contribute in strategic planning and implementation of new programmes. Location: HQ – New Delhi with a scope to travel to state of Odisha. Relevant Sectors: Socio-economic Surveys, Research, Field Management, Rural Development, Income & Livelihoods, Financial Inclusion, Public Health, Nutrition, Water & Sanitation, Women & Child Development, Education. Job Responsibility: • Headquartered in New Delhi, the directors will be travelling often to rural parts of Odisha. • Facilitate communication between departments • Upon understanding data, strategizing the new operations to be undertaken with innovation and creativity. • Ability to handle teams to execute the task – need to be a leader, with networking skills who can communicate efficiently with people. • Organise and consolidate documents and maintain progress reports from the field. • Initiating programs to mobilise masses for the larger people's movement. • Well-versed with general rights and entitlements of the Odisha's tribes and communities. • Knows about the advocy of rights and the protocol for leveraging them in the politically sensitive areas of the state. Eligibility: • Post Graduate in relevant fields (Social Work / Rural Development / Management / Economics / Agriculture / Science / Public Health / Hospital Management / Nutrition / Education / or any other relevant field) • Willingness to travel and stay in Odisha • 7+ years experience in administration or directing/ heading/ initiating programs. • Deep understanding of the development sector.
