We are looking for an extraordinary thought leader with a proven track record in managing an international non-profit organization.  Additionally, we’re looking for a visionary to take the leadership to new heights.  We are looking for a passionate advocate for children; one who thrives on unleashing others’ potential.

The candidate will be responsible for leading the organisation to achieve the outlined child and youth impact via the Program Results Framework and to build and administer systems to meet the expectations of the management . 

As a progressive and innovative leader, the candidate will strive to create a culture of mission-focus, results orientation, ownership and collaboration among our employees and volunteers. He or she will be responsible for ensuring adherence to internal controls and child protection policies to preserve the ongoing integrity of our operations.  He or she  will be responsible for establishing strong partnerships and encouraging continuous improvement with key stakeholders including kids, parents, volunteers and other community organizations to give our kids the greatest opportunity for success.

Role : 

  • Lead successful strategic planning and execution around the Program Results Framework focused on the areas of greatest need for the organisation.  Align the staff and activities to support this endeavor.
  • Proactively lead change within a complex, ever-changing work environment.  Actively identify, analyze and improve existing business processes to improve services to the beneficiaries. 
  • Develop and empower a learning culture that addresses  challenges and solves problems. 
  • Ensures  financial stewardship, key performance metrics, child impact and outcomes. 
  • Partner with other agencies to share best practices, learnings and other approaches to stakeholder engagement.
  • Develop the skill level of the staff for current and new roles.
  • Prepare strategic and financial plans; coach in delivering results.
  • Participate regularly in key stakeholder activities carried out in the Community Centers and elsewhere to observe, engage and solicit feedback.
  • Drive growth of the agency in the areas of constituent base, programs, partners and budget outlay.
  • Ensure compliance with Child Protection protocol and policies.
  • Ensure adherence to all statutes,  policies and local laws.  This includes key financial controls, auditing, purchasing and the segregation of duties.
  • Coordinate meetings with the Board of Directors in accordance with policies established in the Articles of Incorporation and guidelines; maintain minutes and statutory records.
  • Champion the vision and framework.  Provide encouragement to all in carrying out this mission.

The ideal candidate should have :

  • A Master’s degree with a minimum of 10 years working in an international non-profit organization.
  • A proven track record in managing funds, multi-disciplinary teams, information systems, external agencies and working with a Board of Directors.
  • Fluency in spoken English and Spanish and advanced writing skills in both.
  • Possess a passion for children and youth and be committed to making a difference in the world.
  • Comfort in working in multiple environments from the community center to the neighborhoods where our children and youth reside to the Board Room with business leaders. 
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities with the ability to serve as an inspiring and influential leader who can develop and empower diverse teams.
  • An ability to critically and strategically think to address an ever-changing work environment.
  • Exhibit the highest standards of honesty and integrity reflective of a leader within an outstanding organization.
