Job Description

The Assistant Manager – Operations will be responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of ISDA projects across various domains. The role involves close collaboration with project teams, funding partners, and field staff to ensure smooth operations, timely reporting, and impactful implementation of initiatives. The position requires flexibility and openness to travel frequently to project locations across India.

Responsibilities

Project Planning:

  • Support in end-to-end project management including planning, monitoring, and execution of CSR/Skill Development/Healthcare/Education initiatives.
  • Manage CSR programs from the Head Office and undertake periodic travel to project locations for monitoring and implementation support.
  • Coordinate with field teams, government departments, and partner organizations to ensure effective on-ground implementation.
  • Prepare and maintain MIS reports, progress updates, and documentation as per organizational and donor requirements.
  • Assist in developing project proposals, presentations, and operational strategies for upcoming initiatives.
  • Monitor budget utilization, procurement processes, and resource allocation to ensure compliance.
  • Organize and oversee capacity-building programs, health camps, awareness sessions, and training workshops.
  • Ensure timely reporting, data collection, impact assessment, and feedback mechanisms from project sites.
  • Support the senior management in liaising with CSR partners and stakeholders for smooth coordination.
  • Conduct periodic field visits for monitoring, evaluation, and strengthening project operations.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Rural Development, Management, or related fields.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in operations/project management, preferably in the CSR/NGO/Development sector.
  • Prior experience in managing CSR-funded projects, skilling initiatives, healthcare, or community development programs will be preferred.
  • Strong project management and operational execution skills.
  • Excellent communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MIS/reporting tools.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders under deadlines.
  • Problem-solving, analytical, and team leadership abilities.
  • Open to travel extensively for project implementation and monitoring.
