The Centre for Management Development (CMD) was established in 1979 as a research driven management consulting and training institution under the Government of Kerala, catering to Government at the Centre, States and local levels, Development Agencies and Institutions in the Corporate and Social Sector.

Job Description

• Assist Sustainability Expert/Engineer/Lead to understand aspects of environmental sustainability of Infrastructure projects with a focus on environmental protection, pollution prevention, climate change adaptation and mitigation.
• Undertake an environmental appraisal of projects and review the EIA reports for adequacy and suggest mitigation and adaptation methods.
• Strive to incorporate environmentally sustainable technologies in construction and operational stages of projects.
• Ensure proper planning and documentation of field-level activities and reports if any.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

Academic Qualification

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science/ Engineering or a relevant field

Work Experience/Professional Qualifications

• 1–3 years in the environmental sector/EIA with knowledge of sustainable development.
• Preference for experience in regulatory compliance, HSE programs, and international standards (World Bank, IFC, EHS, EU, Equator Principles).
• Advantage for ESIA/ESDD work in biodiversity, resettlement, indigenous peoples, or cultural heritage.
• Experience in government/regulatory bodies or MNCs preferred.

Salary

Consolidated pay of Rs.35,000/-per month, with provision for annual increase in pay in accordance with the performance management policy of KIIFB.
