Programme Summary

Learning with Vodafone is a digital education initiative being implemented by Pratham Education Foundation and funded by Vodafone Foundation India. The programme is an innovative teacher-centric technological intervention which is currently working in 1,020 schools across 8 states with the aim of enhancing the learning levels of students in low-income schools by the introduction of technology and group learning pedagogies in classrooms. In the coming academic year (2018-19), Learning with Vodafone will be scaling up and reaching out to schools with hardware and provide them with content for classes 6-8 for mathematics and science. The teachers will also be given access to a teacher portal with pedagogy related course, online digital content and chance to network with other teachers. This will provide them with an opportunity to implement group learning pedagogies in their classrooms and integrate technology as well.

Position Summary

One of the ways to encourage teachers to optimally utilize the content and teacher portal is to constantly support them and resolve their queries. The incumbent will have access to the usage data of the portal and the content and will have to devise strategies to innovatively reach out to teachers and encourage them to use the portal and application effectively. Associate, Teacher Support Management will oversee 10-15 cluster trainers who will be contacting teachers.

Roles and Responsibilities

The primary roles and responsibilities of the incumbent will include but will not be limited to:

  • To provide training to cluster trainers for on-call teacher support
  • Analyze the need of teachers based on the calls and strategize the planning accordingly
  • Managing and analyzing the effectiveness of the calls by analysing monitoring reports
  • Observe cluster trainers' performance, and record relevant data to assess progress
  • Organize and coordinate with resource and capacity development team to provide orientation to improve the performance of cluster trainers
  • Assisting and providing information based on the analysis of on-call support to design training for the state teams in best practices in teaching-learning methods
  • Synthesizing observations and learning's of support calls system into reports, blog articles etc.

Required Skills

  • Contribute to the planning and design of all activities required for the teacher support management unit
  • Prepare strategic roadmaps and implementation plans with goals and milestones, and lead operationalisation of the same.
  • Ability to multi-task and coordinate with other internal teams for data

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in any relevant field
  • 2+ years of work experience in leading teams for operational management of programmes. Candidates with prior experience of working on 'on-call support model' will be preferred

Remuneration and Location

  • Remuneration will be competitive as per industry standards and will commensurate to candidate’s experience levels
  • The incumbent will be based in New Delhi and will have to travel regularly across the country
