About the Organization
Ipas Development Foundation (IDF) has been working in India since 2001 to improve the sexual and reproductive health ecosystem in the country. In close collaboration with the national government and formal partnerships with state governments, we work in communities and with the public and private health systems to enhance access to sexual and reproductive health services, particularly comprehensive abortion care, and choice-based contraception.
Job Description
The Associate Director – Monitoring and Evaluation will be responsible for leading and managing the. the M&E Unit, providing strategic direction and overseeing a team of 5-6 members to ensure highquality outputs. Key responsibilities of the position include:
- Guide impact assessment of IDF programs, oversee program monitoring systems, and ensure timely analysis of data for programmatic decision-making and donor reporting.
- Guide and supervise research design, secondary data analysis, and preparation of evidence-based briefs and presentations on key topics.
- Ensure adherence to rigorous research and evaluation standards; stay abreast with global and national developments, ecosystem changes, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate closely with program, strategy development and communications, and leadership teams to translate data and research into action-oriented insights and advocacy materials.
- Ensure visibility of IDF’s impact in appropriate forums including external meetings, conferences, and publications as relevant.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
We are looking for a highly motivated professional with a post graduate degree in social sciences, public health, demographic studies or statistics and 10+ years of experience in monitoring and evaluation (M&E) roles in large multi-state projects with at least 2 years in a national or regional level responsibility for M&E. As the national head of M&E, the position will guide impact assessment of IDF programs, oversee program monitoring systems, and ensure timely analysis of data for programmatic decisionmaking and donor reporting. The position requires proven experience in delivering high-quality analytical outputs with quantitative research and program MIS design as core components. Experience in the reproductive health sector, representing the organization in external forums and familiarity with large datasets in the health sector such as HMIS and NFHS would be an advantage.
The role requires skills to manage large dataset (5k+) projects and analyze data to generate actionable insights for program implementation and advocacy. It calls for hands-on experience of performing various elements of the research cycle including design of research tools, developing data frameworks and structures, use of SPSS/STATA for data analysis and insight generation. Candidates with excellent verbal and written communication skills and a proven track record of working independently and driving project success will be well suited. The role requires a willingness to travel (up to 10%) to project areas.
