Job Description

The Brij Disa Centre for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence(CDSA) at IIM Ahmedabad invites applications for the position of Centre Research Fellow in the domain of Economics/Finance and Artificial Intelligence.

Job Responsibilities

• The work will involve empirical and theoretical analysis.
• Empirical work will involve coding, collecting, organizing, visualizing, and analyzing data (both large-scale and small-scale data sets), and writing reports. It also involves running surveys and experiments.
• Theoretical work will include organizing related literature, replicating papers and solving models.
• Publish research findings in high-impact journals and present results at conferences.
• Assist in mentoring graduate students and contribute to the centre's activities.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Physics, or a closely related field. Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. dissertation or are about to submit it are also eligible to apply.
• Knowledge of concepts related to machine learning and statistics
• Well versed with econometrics and causal analysis (e.g. difference-in-differences, regression discontinuity designs).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, STATA, R, or MATLAB
• There should be an open mind to learning new concepts. We appreciate creativity and hard work.
