About the Organization

The broad objective of the National Centre for Disease Informatics and Research (NCDIR), Bengaluru, are to sustain and develop a national research data-base on cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases (CVD), and stroke through recent advances in electronic information technology with a national collaborative network, so as to undertake aetiological, epidemiological, clinical and control research in these areas. The primary focus of centre includes established nationwide data-base for cancer through the National Cancer Registry Programme and the Cancer Atlas Project. The secondary focus is to facilitate and coordinate research activities by collaborating centres towards epidemiological and clinical studies in diabetes, CVD and stroke.

Job Description/Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance of “Official Language Policy of the Union of India”.
• Translation of various forms, circulars, manuals, articles, etc. In Hindi and vice versa.
• Translation of day to day officials letters, office orders, departmental orders etc., from English to Hindi and vice versa.
• Preparation of official Letters/ office orders/Noting etc., in Hindi, in Computer.
• To assist Hindi Committee for various activities relating to Hindi implementation.
• To assist Officer-in-charge, official Language in the implementation of work of official language policy and in various official matters.
• Any other work assigned by the Competent Authority, assigned from time to time.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Master’s degree of a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level.

                                                   OR

• Master’s degree of a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level.

                                           OR

• Master’s degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level.

                                                     OR

• Master’s degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of a examination at the degree level.

                                                     OR

• Master’s degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at the degree level.

                                                  AND

• Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English and vice-versa or two years’ experience of translations work from Hindi to English and vice-versa in Central/ State Government office, including Government of India Undertaking
• Good knowledge of Computer. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point Presentation (Including typing) and internet surfing etc. with the ability to work independently on computer is desirable.

Salary

Rs. 50,000/- per month
