About the Organization
To provide leadership in hydrology research through effective scientific solutions for achieving sustainable development and self-reliance of the water sector in India.
- Develop new techniques, procedures, software packages, field instrumentation, etc. for hydrological studies.
- Study scenarios of water resource availability under varying Hydrological, climatic, sociocultural conditions through modelling techniques.
- Assess impact of climate change on water resources and suggest measures for mitigation, adaptation and resilience.
- Propagate applications of emerging techniques for water resources development and management.
- Provide cost-effective R&D solutions to need-based water related problems.
- Provide scientific advice to the various stakeholders on water related issues.
- Empower community through capacity building and awareness on water resources development and conservation.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct climate data interpretation and GISbased spatial analysis.
- Prepare associated technical reports, policy briefs, concept notes, research papers and policy recommendations.
- Organize and facilitate stakeholder workshops and consultations.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Post Graduate degree in Hydrology, Water Resources or a closely related field.
- 08 years of relevant experience with a demonstrated track record of publishing technical reports and research papers.
- Proven record of working in the domain of climate change.
Technical Competencies:
- Strong understanding of climate change, water resources management standards, monitoring mechanisms and key indicators.
- Familiarity with government missions / schemes related to the water sector and climate change mitigation and adaptation in India.
- Proficiency in geospatial data handling analysis. Proficiency in climate data interpretation. Strong computer skills (MS Office suites).

Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
- Proficiency in technical writing.
- Ability to produce high-quality scientific/ technical reports.

Salary
Rs.75,000/- Per month
