Roles & Responsibilities  

Operational Excellence  

  • Prioritise significant improvement plans scaling up the Programs to achieve the  objectives as per plan.  
  • Identify key activities and action plans as per the Foundation’s Mission and Values.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate systems for monitoring and measuring necessary  aspects of operational management and development.  
  • Report to the President on operational issues, opportunities, development plans,  achievements, challenges and budgets.  

 

Strategic Planning and Organizing  

  • Design, implement and communicate strategy for operational management and  programme development, to meet agreed organizational performance plans within  budgets and timelines.  
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization, ensuring smooth and efficient  functioning. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance  productivity.  
  • Make sure all operational support is proactively addressed to ensure the quality of  program delivery. Overall management of operations to ensure smooth functioning of  the organization. Manage the operational performance metrics and dashboards for  existing and future strategic plans. 
  • Implement innovative technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency.  

Financial Budget and Control  

  • Manage the programme and operational aspects of the annual budget in conjunction  with the Finance Department. Work closely with the finance team to manage the  organization's budget and financial resources. 

Relationship Management  

  • Ensure that most conducive and productive relationship are optimized with internal as  well as external Stakeholders.  
  • Ensure that the relationship with all stakeholders results into operational as well as  business excellence.  
  • Ensure that timely submission of performance reports to the respective donors in  consultation with President.  

Knowledge and Skills  

  • Demonstrated skills in leading diverse work teams and implementing Organisation wide operational and managerial processes across a broad geography. 
  • Broad knowledge and experience in policy development and implementation, project  management, Organisation development, and people management in a large-scale  Organisation.  
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, including above average oral and written  communication skills.  
  • Familiarity with change management; a commitment to the organization’s role and  mission.  
  • A personal and professional commitment to advancing diversity; Entrepreneurial and  innovative approaches to opportunity development.  
  • Commitment to shared governance; Strong problem-solving and creative skills and  the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and  timely analyses.  
  • A results-oriented person passionate about making a real impact and bringing about  beneficial change in the world, and naturally driven by that pursuit.  
  • Willingness to travel approximately 40% of the time.  
  • Candidate must possess excellent verbal and written skills in English and Tamil. 

Qualification & Experience:  

  • MBA or postgraduate in Development, or similar advanced degree, from a reputed  academic or professional institution.  
  • Minimum 12 to 15 years of relevant experience with progressive leadership exposure. 
  • At least 8 to 10 years of experience in a predominantly supervisory position with a  growth-oriented Organization.  
  • Candidates with experience in the not-for-profit sector shall be preferred.
