About the Organization

The NCTE headquarters is located at G-7, Sector-10, Dwarka, Near Metro Station, New Delhi – 110075. It is headed by the Chairperson, NCTE. He is assisted by the Vice-Chairperson, the Member-Secretary and various other officers to look after academic, regulatory and administrative matters. The headquarters is mainly responsible for laying down policy guidelines, norms and standards for various teacher education programmes, conducting and promoting research andinnovations in teacher education and performing various other academic functions as envisaged in section 12 of the NCTE Act 1993.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Officers under the Central Govt. or State 0ovt. or Universities or Recognized Research Institutions or Public Sector Undertakings or Statutory, Semi Govt., Autonomous or other organizations.
• Holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department.

                         OR

• Holding the post of Associate Professor on regular basis in UGC Scale in level -11 in the pay matrix (Rs. 67700-208700);

                       OR

• Holding posts in level -11 of t he pay matrix (Rs. 67700-208700)' or equivalent on regular basis in the parent cadre for five years in the grade rendered after appointment thereto;
