Job Description

The National Law University, Delhi (‘University’) through Project 39A is seeking to engage, the position of Executive Director on contractual basis at its campus in Dwarka, New Delhi. The contract will be for one year initially and can be extended on an annual basis at the discretion of the University.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide academic leadership and strategic direction for the Centre’s research, outreach, and policy engagement.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations, including administration, budgeting, staffing, and project management.
• Supervise and mentor a multidisciplinary research team and ensure high-quality research output.
• Represent the Centre in national and international forums and build networks with academia, civil society, and government institutions.
• Lead efforts to secure grants and funding from prominent national and international funding agencies.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• A postgraduate or doctoral degree in Law.
• At least SEVEN years of consistent, high-quality research experience in areas such as access to justice, legal aid, criminal justice administration, or allied fields.
• A strong portfolio of peerreviewed publications in reputed journals.
• Proven ability to lead research teams, manage institutional responsibilities, and monitor outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience in drafting successful grant applications and securing competitive research funding.
