Position overview:

Field Officer – The Field Officer position is a cardinal one which function and operates by creating connections with community members of operational areas of KS India . This role is vital in managing and upholding collaborative relationships and strengthening the field team’s capacity to achieve its project objectives. All field officers will be responsible for 2-3 Panchayats where KS India operates. Specifically responsible for effective implementation of activities at the field level and act a catalyst in the community mobilisation process.

Reports to:  Field Manager

Location- Panchayats in Bodhgaya and other operational areas  in Bihar.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Community Mobilization: Building relationships with local stakeholders, effectively communicating project plans and impacts to the community, facilitating stakeholder engagement activities, encouraging community participation and empowerment in project decisions, ensuring cultural sensitivity and social impact considerations, resolving conflicts, and monitoring the overall impact of the project on the community to foster positive relationships and sustainable outcomes.
  • Logistic support: Ensure logistical support regarding any programmatic visits, maintain proper documentation at the field level
  • Documentation & Reporting: Ensure effective reporting and documentation by preparing regular progress reports.
  • Share and inform leadership on the impact of programme activities and identify new training needs for project teams as well as for community.
  • Engage in upholding and strengthening the core values of the organisation, foster transparent and open feedback system.

Skills and Qualifications :

  • A successful candidate will possess at least bachelor’s degree in social Sciences or equivalent subject.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience of working in the grassroots with various communities and stakeholders.
  • Experience of working in Bihar would be an added advantage.
  • Ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
