About the Organization

Wadhwani AI is a non-profit institute building and deploying applied AI solutions to solve critical issues in public health, agriculture, education, and urban development in underserved communities in the global south. We collaborate with governments, social sector organizations, academic and research institutions, and domain experts to identify real-world problems, and develop practical AI solutions to tackle these issues with the aim of making a substantial positive impact. 

We have over 30+ AI projects supported by leading philanthropies such as Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Google.org and Walmart. With a team of over 200 professionals, our expertise encompasses AI/ML research and innovation, software engineering, domain knowledge, design and user research.

Job Description

• Develop the overall MEL plan, log frameworks, work plan.
• Lead field monitoring visits and assist in gathering qualitative insights during project data collection activities.
• Lead data processing, cleaning, analysis, visualisation, and presentation
• Develop research protocols and ensure approval from the required Research Ethics Committee and local IRB (as required) ensuring the protection of human subjects
• Develop of reports, presentations and templates for effective internal use and dissemination of reports at state & national levels
• Function with utmost sensitivity towards data confidentiality and privacy
• Perform duties as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Education: Master’s Degree in development studies,  demography, statistics, or related subjects.
• A minimum of five years of post-qualification M&E/Quantitative research experience and demonstrated history of practical skills in monitoring and evaluation of donor-funded programs in the Agriculture or social sector
• Solid grounding in M&E frameworks, research design, sampling techniques, data collection methods, and statistical analysis, including proficiency with tools like R, Stata, or SPSS
• Demonstrated experience in data management including data cleaning, standardization, maintenance, collation, analysis, and reporting
• Experience in report writing and development of proposals for business development with a variety of domestic and international donors would be an asset.
• Skilled in successfully working with geographically dispersed teams and working in a multicultural environment.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical software
