About Jatan:

Jatan Sansthan is a grassroots NGO working with the rural population in the selected district of Rajasthan. Since its inception, most of its work has aimed to improve social and demographic indicators of the population with a special focus on young people.  In the past thirteen years, Jatan has worked on programmes for young people, women, children, elected representatives and marginalized communities. Youth and women have been the key focus area for the organization. Job Title: MIS Manager and Analyst (2 Position)

Duty station: Rajsamand, Udaipur (Rajasthan) with frequent travel

Closing date: 25th February 2018

No. of position: 2(Two)

Job Description:

Major Responsibilities:

1. Data Collection

  • Develops and establish data collection method and mechanism (e.g., determines what data to collect, the appropriate data resources, who will collect the data, who will fill the data, and the timeline for data entry/reporting and analysing and feedback, etc.)
  • Develops data collection checklists or formats from various levels (form, village and blocks) and detail SOP/ Manual for the checklists entry
  • Trains and educates reporting persons on data collection tools, proper data collection processes,  and equipment/ software
  • Establishes data quality standards to ensure data quality
  • Ensures quality data collection techniques are established for every level of reporting
  • Facilitate the development of a project database to capture data over the duration of the project
  • Develop a detailed block profile and village profile of the project area

2. Data System Management

  • Manages data collection software (Software)
  • Ensures data system is operational at each level of data entry or reporting
  • Assists with setup, testing, and implementation of data collection software
  • Coordinate and facilitate the functioning of a Web Based MIS

3. Data Reporting and Analysis

  • Evaluates current MIS systems to strengthen the programme
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual data reports for distribution
  • Develops reports as necessary – periodic and annual report
  • Presents key data at meetings and develops fact sheet for sharing
  • Shares data with state and other stakeholders, as needed
  • Integrates data from each level and share with the state/ district as a consolidated data/report
  • Builds capacity of other staffs on data analysis and reports
  • Develop and submits monthly brief within 5 days of the completion of the Month
  • Develop quarterly report  of the programme and submit within 5 days of the completion of the month
  • Submit an analysis of the  quantitative data of the initiative  and provides feedback
  • Provide an analysis of  clusters and  block wise analysis of the programme

4.  Program Management

  • Facilitate the programme management for a set  group of clusters comprising of multiple villages
  • Ensure that all overseen activities are implemented
  • Facilitate planning and roll out of activities
  • Develop a grading of the villages in terms of the performance  on the basis of  clear indicators
  • Undertake field visits for 10-12 days in the field  

Educational and Professional Qualifications:

  • Post graduate in Social work , Rural Management , Statistics , Population Sciences , Sociology , Management
  • 4-7 years experience in the area of Monitoring & Evaluation, Data Analysis  and   management

Reporting:

The MIS Manager will report to Project Manager and will work under the overall guidance of the Project Lead and Project Manager

Remuneration:

Remuneration will be at par with market standards and will be based on experience and qualifications and according to the competence level, as adjudged by the Selection Committee-

Consolidated remuneration range Rs. 20,000/- to Rs. 25,000/- per month
