Position Summary

We are looking for a hands-on, mission-driven professional to join our team as Manager – Agroforestry. The role requires solid technical expertise in agroforestry, strong leadership in farmer mobilization, and the ability to work collaboratively with field teams, expert networks, and sustainability platforms. Knowledge of carbon finance and its linkage to agroforestry is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement region-specific agroforestry models that are ecologically and economically viable.
• Mobilize farmers, producer groups, and community-based institutions for adoption of agroforestry practices.
• Lead field teams and coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure timely execution and impact delivery.
• Engage with expert networks, technical institutions, and sustainability forums to integrate best practices.
• Monitor progress using field-level indicators, ensure quality documentation, and contribute to donor reporting.
• Support integration of carbon finance and ecosystem services into agroforestry strategies where relevant.
• Assist in proposal development and knowledge-sharing across PnP’s network and partners.

Key Requirements

• Master’s degree in Agroforestry, Agriculture, Natural Resource Management, or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of practical experience in implementing agroforestry or sustainable agriculture programs.
• Proven track record in farmer engagement and participatory rural approaches.
• Strong team player who can lead field teams and coordinate across functions.
• Exposure to carbon markets, carbon sequestration, or ecosystem-based climate solutions is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication skills in English and at least one Indian language.
• Willingness to travel extensively to rural and remote project areas.
