B. Job Objective

The primary objective of the Manager, CSR and Sustainability is to drive and promote sustainable business practices across the organization by delivering impactful training on sustainability to business leaders, function heads, and employees. This role focuses on fostering a culture of sustainability through engaging educational initiatives, while also managing internal and external communications related to sustainability efforts. The manager will oversee the creation and regular updates of CSR and sustainability content on the companys website and social media platforms, ensuring transparency and alignment with global standards.

C. Primary responsibilities

Training and Awareness:

• Design and deliver training programs on sustainability for business leaders, function heads, and employees at all levels.
• Create educational materials, workshops, and e-learning modules to promote sustainability best practices within the organization.
• Ensure sustainability is integrated into the company culture by providing continuous learning opportunities.
• Assess the effectiveness of training programs and refine them as necessary to ensure alignment with the companys sustainability goals.

Communication & Content Management:

• Develop and execute a communication strategy for CSR & sustainability, focusing on internal and external stakeholders.
• Regularly update the companys website with relevant CSR& sustainability initiatives, reports, and achievements.
• Manage and update content on social media platforms to raise awareness and share the companys CSR & sustainability progress.
• Collaborate with the marketing and communications teams to ensure a consistent and impactful messaging approach on CSR& sustainability.

CSR and Sustainability Reporting:

• Lead the creation and preparation of annual CSR and sustainability reports in line with global standards (e.g., GRI, ESG frameworks).
• Collect, analyse, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sustainability and CSR.
• Ensure transparency and accuracy in reporting, and work closely with various departments to gather data and insights.
• Coordinate with external auditors, as needed, for sustainability disclosures and certifications.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to foster collaboration on sustainability initiatives.
• Represent the organization in sustainability forums, conferences, and industry events.
• Engage with community stakeholders, NGOs, and sustainability advocates to support and promote CSR initiatives.

Strategy Development and Execution:

• Work closely with the senior leadership team to align sustainability and CSR goals with the broader business strategy.
• Monitor emerging trends in sustainability and CSR and recommend innovative solutions to enhance the companys programs.
• Drive the implementation of the organizations sustainability policies and initiatives across different functions.

Initiatives and Projects:

• Track the impact of CSR and sustainability programs and ensure continuous improvement.

G. Educational and Experience Requirements  

• Masters in Management/ Sustainable Development/ environment
• 7-12 years of experience in CSR, sustainability, or related fields, preferably with some experience in training or employee engagement.
• Proven experience in preparing sustainability and CSR reports, preferably aligned with GRI, ESG, or other reporting frameworks.
• Solid understanding of sustainability principles, environmental regulations, and global CSR standards.
• Experience in managing communication channels, including websites and social media, and creating engaging content.
