Job Description

The Managing Director (MD) is the Head of the organisation and accountable to its Board of Directors and Government of Assam and other stakeholders. He/ She will be responsible for the efficient functioning of the organisation and for achieving its corporate objectives and performance parameters subject to the provisions of the Act and these Articles. The MD shall be responsible for annual strategy plan and its execution, ensure prudent financial management, risk & compliance; build teams and culture; mobilize partnerships and private capital: ensure transparency, audit readiness.

Job Responsibilities

Lead formulation and execution of AISF strategy and annual plan; meet Board-approved objectives and performance parameters. Preparation of annual budget and submission of utilization statements to the Board. Build a high performing team under his/her leadership to ensure smooth functioning of the objectives of the company. Maintain a proactive HR policy and performance appraisal matrix. Serve as principal spokesperson with government, investors, media, and domestic and international partners. Lead organizational culture-building with an emphasis on speed, innovation, data-driven decision-making and accountability

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Postgraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations, or related disciplines from a reputed institution

Desired Profile/Experience

• Minimum 15 years of experience in corporate operations, program delivery, or enterprise growth management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role heading a division/profit center/organization.
• Strong experience in managing multidisciplinary teams, building systems from scratch and leading institutional scale-up.
• Must be a visionary with in-depth knowledge of the Indian and global startup ecosystems, striving to make the organization self-sustainable
• Demonstrated ability to manage relationship with funding agencies, venture capitalists, angel and other investors as potential source of funds for start-ups.
• Candidates with a strong bias for execution, startup ecosystem familiarity and a passion for innovation-driven development will be preferred.

Salary

Fixed CTC of 30 lakhs - 40 lakhs depending on skills and experience.
