The position

The Aga Khan Foundation, India (‘AKF (India)’) has maintained a long presence in the Bahraich and Shrawasti districts of Uttar Pradesh commencing in 2010 with an Area Development programme to improve the overall quality of life of marginalized communities through a multi sector implementation strategy with interventions on education, livelihood improvement, the empowerment of adolescent girls’, drinking water and sanitation, women empowerment, and support to migrants.

This comprehensive education programme aims to improve access to quality formal and informal education opportunities for children (aged 3-11 years). The project will combine direct interventions with approximately 13,000 children (3-11 years) in the Chitaura and Risia blocks of Bahraich district.
