Job Description
STRIDE seeking a skilled and reliable Odia Translator to support the translation of training materials for a suicide prevention and mental health program. This is a short-term, project-based role ideal for a professional with strong language skills and an interest in mental health awareness.
Job Responsibilities
- Translate written training materials from English to Odia with a high degree of accuracy and cultural sensitivity.
- Ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with the mental health context and target audience.
- Review and revise translated content as needed in collaboration with the project team.
- Deliver completed materials within agreed timelines.
- To continuously and incorporate feedback from the larger team.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Native proficiency in Odia (written and spoken)
- Proven experience in translation work
- Strong command of English and Odia
- Familiarity with mental health terminology and concepts (preferred but not required)
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
Preferred Skills:
- Experience translating materials related to public health, mental health, or social impact projects
- Attention to linguistic nuance and cultural context
